IPC is not a member of ITCRA(www.itcra.com) however supports and promotes the Code-Of-Conduct as outlined in the PDF document published by ITCRA.
Occupational health & safety statement
IPC will, as far as reasonably practicable, ensure your health and safety while you are at work. IPC recognises the need to comply with laws governing injury and accident prevention and employee safety.
Maintaining a safe work environment requires everyone's continuous cooperation. This is best achieved by management and employees working together following a program of health and safety activities inclusive of procedures which are monitored, reviewed and audit
As your employer IPC will make every reasonable effort to provide a safe and healthy working environment and to take the necessary precautions to protect you from workplace injuries or illnesses.
You are also individually responsible to protect your own health and safety, and the health and safety of your co-workers, by working in compliance with the law and with our safe work practices.
Making the workplace a safe and healthy one is a partnership between you and IPC. IPC undertakes to regularly review this policy to take account of changes in legislation.
IPC responsibilities
IPC’s responsibilities under OHS legislation may include doing everything reasonably practicable to:
    Ensure the health, safety and welfare of its employees while they are at work.
    Ensure that persons who are not employees of IPC are not exposed to a risk to their health and safety as a result of IPC’s conduct.
    Identify and assess any hazards in the workplace that may be a risk to health and safety and eliminate or control those hazards.
    Consult with employees about health and safety issues in the workplace.
    Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure that all employees and non-employees can undertake their duties safely.
    Provide adequate systems and resources to effectively manage workers compensation and rehabilitation.
Contractor responsibilities
    You have a responsibility under OHS legislation to take care of your own health and safety at work. It is also your responsibility to ensure that your activities do not place at risk the health and safety of your co-workers, our customers or others that you may come into contact with at work.
    You must work together with IPC in ensuring that your workplace is safe and without risk to health.
Reporting safety issues
IPC will keep a record of all work-related illnesses and/or injuries, no matter how slight, to comply with occupational health and safety legislation. Therefore, all accidents, injuries and potential safety hazards must be reported immediately to your direct/ local consultant.
